  • I went there for a birthday gift for my Mom based on all the fab reviews here. Paper Skyscraper is a fun shop crammed with nifty over-priced gifties. Though I think the fantabulous reviews are based more on it's lack of competition that it's actual awesomeness. My experience of Charlotte is that it does not have many offerings of non-chain stores. If you are looking for something a little off-the-beaten-path, you'll be hard pressed to find something unique or different in the way of selection. However what you will often get, as Paper Skyscraper has in spades, is very friendly, helpful service. For a stocking stuffer or other small gift, go here. Where else you gonna go, the mall?
