We stayed here in Aug. 2009 after booking on an on-line discount site.
The rate was fantastic, we definitely got a bargain.
The hotel is in a great location. Shops and eateries are nearby and Queen St. and King St. are just a short stroll away.
The room was just fine, we were accommodated a with a high level just as requested.
The fitness room was a bit odd as it was within the same space as the indoor pool. This made running on the treadmill like running in a sauna. It was warm, stuffy and smelled like chlorine - one cannot escape.
Outside of the pool and fitness room is a balcony with chairs and lounges. Perfect for reading a book and basking in the sun. Very cool views too.
The elevators always seems crowded and often there was a line of people with luggage who had just checked in or people with bags from shopping. This made for tight times on the elevator.
The staff were just fine, phone calls to the concierge were answered quickly and we were able to check in a bit earlier than we were scheduled to. They were accommodated and service oriented.
Overall, a great hotel, nice location and good value. I did not find it to be particularly romantic or posh but it was just what we needed for our stay.
