| - Visited the food truck at the Scottsdale Food Truck gathering on Saturday night. Got there late, but the owner was a very nice youger woman who gave us the rundown on the menu.
Admittedly I'm not a soul-food or Southern food fan whatsoever. Her charisma made me give it a shot. We had a fish sandwich (made of a lighter fish that I don't recall the name of), with no cole slaw ( can't stand the taste, personally), some special sauce, and a slice of cheese in French Bread. I also added a piece of Fried Chicken, and a side of Mac N Cheese.
Sandwich was solid. Huge portion, light, fresh fish, crispy delicious beer batter, high quality cheese, and soft, fresh French bread. It tasted great.
The fried chicken. Wow. I never really liked home-made fried chicken (AKA lightly battered) and this completely changed my view of fried chicken forever. It was delicious, crispy, moist, and had an amazing honey glaze. 12 points on a 10 point scale.
MacNCheese was clearly a 4-cheese "gourmet" spin with a breadcrumb top, and it was good. You can tell that they use high quality cheese, as you can discern the sharp cheddar and other tastes easily.
Love the brand, loved the service, loved the food. Hope you guys read this!
