| - As a first time Open Water swimmer, I decided to do some research on types of wetsuits, if I needed one, where I could get one etc... Boardsports comes up first on the internet so I decided to check it out. Of course I went to Yelp to make sure the store was totally legit and I was a bit apprehensive about the service (from Val G.) considering I would be the same type of customer.
But I decided to check it out anyways because it was so close to my work - it took me 10 minutes to walk there. As soon as I entered, a flurry of hellos came through and I knew my experience would be different than Val G's. I said I was looking for wetsuits and the one guy (forgot his name but he was SUPER HELPFUL!!) came downstairs with me (this store has a second level dedicated to wetsuits). I told him what I was looking for (a wetsuit that was good for warmth, but I was not necessarily interested in speed) and he suggested one exactly that. He got my size spot on and I ended up buying it.
He also recommended a cute little surfer suit (full arms and body are covered, but the bottom is built like a bikini bottom). I don't think I really needed it, but it looked so great that I ended up buying that as well.
The guy who helped me stayed with me during the entire time, making sure my suits fit and gave me some tips so I really appreciated that.
As for prices, I don't have a gauge of what is considered expensive or not (and I was only here for wetsuits), but I can tell you if you are looking to purchase one, this should be your first stop. It seems like that have lots of wetsuit styles and brands. Service was great!
