| - Will not go back especially if Michael Gullege pa is there. I would suggest calling first if he's there go elsewhere. Place was empty, staff at desk was wonderful why 2 stars but Michael has no bedside manners or empathy. Is he even licensed?
I went there after 5 days of what I know now are flu symptoms, it's day 8 and I'm still very sick. Started with laryngitis then body aches headache congestion dry cough. On day 5 added to this was a worsening of cough, more aches, flushing of my cheeks, burning eyes, congestion and a horrible sore throat. The fact that I was having difficulty swallowing and the pain was intense made me seek out an urgent care. I was shocked to see no one waiting, it was 3:30 on a Friday. An assistant took all my vitals.
Michael came in and immediately without looking at me told me all my vitals were normal, I have a cold, there is nothing he can do less than a minute from him opening the door to my room. Even though i shared I had taken Ibuprofen an hour earlier maybe why no fever but still aching, chills, and my face was red, flushed, still hurt to swallow since no fever, he acted like I was lying and not really sick. Insisting something was wrong he is the first medical professional in over 50 years to then turn out the lights in the room and check my sinuses by shining a flashlight on my face saying my sinuses were fine. REALLY??? He did a couple other checks and now with an attitude told me I had a cold there is nothing he could do. I wanted to cry. I asked what about a strep test? He said my throat looked fine (I saw my throat was red in my mirror!) he checked again and said oh it is a little red, and he did the strep test reluctantly. It came back normal. He told me the results with an I told ya so attitude, "there's nothing I can do". I asked for something for my cough sharing I'm using outdated cough medicine from last January, I cough all night. He said we don't dispense that here all we give are "pearls". I asked for them, Again with no empathy no reassurance not a drop of a bedside manner.
Michael Gullege made me feel like I was a waste of his time and making everything up, like I was trying to take advantage to get cough medicine, perhaps I look like a junky? He didn't offer any suggestions of what I could do or get OTC to feel any better. For my $50 copayment and what they will get from insurance, what a waste of money and my time. I will never go there again. No wonder the place was empty!
