| - I'm very surprised by the negative reviews!
I've lived here for 5 years and I LOVE Vegas Towers. The apartments are gorgeous, pool is gorgeous, new gym is amazing, laundry rooms are updated... I've never seen a bug in or around my unit. The surrounding area is sketchy, but VT is gated with 24 hour security so I've never felt unsafe here.
I've never been scammed or felt like I've been treated poorly by the front office, Nancy and Stacy are both great and always go out of their way to help me. The few times I've had maintenance issues, (my fridge broke once), they exchanged it within the hour. I don't have any experience with moving out, but I did switch units at one point, Stacy and Nancy did a walk through with me present and told me exactly what would come out of my deposit, and it all matched.
As to some post I saw about gun fights and dead bodies? I've personally never seen a gun fight nor a dead body. Most of the residents are friendly senior citizens, that seem much more likely to play bingo and collect stamps than murder unsuspecting people and scatter their bodies around the property. However, if I ever do stumble across a dead body covered in hard candy and false teeth I will be sure to contribute a prompt update.
I'll agree with another reviewer that you do find the occasional shopping cart left in the hallway.. Carts are here for our disposal to comfortably transport items from our cars to our apartments. Yes, It's annoying when lazy entitled residents leave them in the hallways but it's nothing not manageable, I've personally never found myself ambushed by a vigilante shopping cart, tackled to the ground in a web of steel, left with only shreds of my past dignity, ears ringing from the spinning off the small wheels... The hallways are well-lit so with some basic balance and maneuvering they're pretty easy to avoid, most of them don't move too much on their own so you should be ok to navigate yourself safely to your apartment. Just don't run past them because that'll spook them and then they come after you - walk slowly and speak calmly. If you do find yourself hunted by a stray shopping cart, DO NOT PANIC, turn around, stand firm and stick your arms out to bring it to a full stop, watch your feet.
Personally all the annoyances I've had are all things that come with the territory of a high rise. All in all, I couldn't be happier.
