Stopped in yesterday and purchased 2 packages (each with 5 pieces) of freshly made injera. The look, taste, and texture is exactly what I expected based on my favourite Ethiopian restaurant experiences.
While I was there I bought a container of Berbere which seems to be required in about half of my Ethiopian Recipes. You can make Berbere from its composite spices (about 8 in total) but it's certainly convenient to purchase it already blended.
I spent the rest of the day making a total of 6 dishes including 2 lentil based, 2 vegetable, 1 meat (tibs), and a salad with Ethiopian style dressing. Put it all together on the injera and it was amazing.
Although another reviewer mentioned that they grew tired of injera before very long, I am of the opposite opinion ... now that my refrigerator is stocked with all of these wonderful Ethiopian dishes, I will be happy to enjoy them for a week.
I also expect we will be back to pick up another supply of Injera before the week is out :)
