The service was great, the food was pretty good, but the overall experience...read on. Our server was put in an uncomfortable position, which she dealt with gracefully, but had to be the bearer of all the bad news. My party of 8 was there for a special occasion, and looking forward to a nice dinner at a steakhouse. The first piece of bad news came early: the bottle of wine our server suggested was not in stock. She quickly suggested something else, and it worked. Next piece of bad news: they were out of filet. How is that even possible at a steakhouse? Our server then checked with the kitchen - it turns out a larger party had "reserved" all the remaining filet. Luckily they didn't order everything they had reserved, and we ended up having the option of ordering (only) the smaller cuts of filet, but it was better than no filet at all. Next up: no B&B. I would have thought any full bar at a restaurant of this caliber would carry B&B. I guess not. My final complaint: fruit flies. Lots of them. We were constantly swatting them away from our faces and plates. I doubt I'll be back, and probably wouldn't recommend anyone else visit Del Frisco's.
