  • I must have gone to a different place, judging by the other reviews here. I guess Monday night is totally dead at American Junkie. We were tourists, with a 5-year-old in tow, and there was only one other table occupied by a lone diner. No dancing, nothing going on, giving us a great opportunity to actually see this funky joint. My daughter and I shared a salad with all kinds of goodies in it, plus a burger. The food was terrific. Drinks were reasonable, and the service was friendly and efficient. We would have loved to sit out on the patio, but the heat and humidity made it impossible, even with a misting system. (And I'm from Vegas, which is not nearly as uncomfortable!) Great experience for my first time in Scottsdale, where I expected every place to be impossibly snooty. Not here!!
