If I could i absolutely would give negative stars to this. ..cough... Cough....business. Why is that not an option? Maybe yelp has faith. Take my word for it this Hertz is an all-around horrible experience. Not only was this my worst renting experience of my life. It was one of the most horrible business experiences I've ever had. I thought the Hertz name meant something. Not on this occasion.
Here is the scenario.
I rented a vehicle online at the Hertz on 40th Street and bell rd.. Everything went as planned online I went to go pick up the vehicle at the appropriate time and come to find out there was a sign on the door saying someone was washing a car or they will be back shortly. When I looked around I only saw one car in the parking lot and nobody in the office. I called the number on the door which strangely was a different number than I had. The number went to this location on the west side .
They told me that the location I was at and rented and paid in full online did not exist yet . it Probably won't exist for months and that I would have to go to the west side.
The person on the phone was the rudest person I ever spoke to.
I kid you not.
This company not only knew that this office would not be open and they new they never called.
They also said I was not the first one that had gone to this office . The sign saying someone was cleaning a car was in fact a lie and no one was in the vicinity. So I had somebody drive me half hour West to this location which is the same people.
When I eventually got to the second place and rented my car 40 minutes later they would not change the time and kept it at 40 minutes later.
So I lost 40 minutes with the rental no big deal.
When I went to drop off the vehicle a few days later at the time I was supposed to drop it off I was 15 minutes early.
The person at the desk happened to be the person I was speaking to on the phone. Could this person get any ruder ?. Yes of course they could. In person this person was unbelievably condescending. He made sure he told me that he had a master's degree. Master's in what, I will never know. By the way I never asked him if he had a degree. Apparently he felt the need to say that to prove that he was holier than thou or at least holier then customers .
The problem when I went to drop off the car, according to Mr. Masters, was that I dropped the car off 15 minutes early . They charge more which made absolutely no sense to me. Not a day early but 15 minutes early. When I asked him why he would not explain and kept pointing at the paper and saying he had a degree. It's his degree was on a desk he would be pointing at it.
I demanded the manager and waited another ten minutes. When the manager, who wasn't really that stores manager, but a manager from a different place came out She found out that the numbers were in fact wrong . Mr. Master's degree was in fact wrong and we went on our way. The temporary manager was decent after a long period of time. But if the employee was not fired after this the manager is crapola. I am absolutely sure that I'm not the only one, who has had issues with Mr. Master degree . While I was sitting waiting for the manager I can hear Mr master's attitude on the phone with customers. It was incredible.
The employee's name was Antwoine Cobb
He receives the worst employee of the year award for 2016 congrats.. Hertz you hired the guy let's hear what you have to say
