  • When I first moved to Las Vegas, I walked by this place every day on my way to work, and never stopped in, thinking it was a tourist trap. Now I wish I had taken the risk.. I would call this "meat and potatoes" Italian. If you are looking for high end, delicate/innovative italian, this isn't it. This is old school italian. It reminds me of what my grandmother used to make. Stated another way, this isn't the high end italian you would find in New York or San Francisco but it is eons above what you would find at Olive Garden. I can tell a lot about a restaurant by the salad and dressing they serve. So many restaurants in Las Vegas serve iceberg and drown it in gloppy dressing. This restaurant used a variety of greens and didn't drown the lettuce with an inch of dressing - good first start. Service was friendly and prompt. Server recommended the lasagna, and it was excellent.. They don't use cheap cheese here either. And, unlike some of the other reviewers, I enjoyed their red sauce. Wine was fine - reminded me of some hole in the wall italian restaurants in Rome I found myself in a couple of decades ago. If you are a wine connoisseur and belong to three wine clubs in Sonoma, you are going to have issues, but for standard table wine, it was fine. In sum, I would say good value for the money. Efficient and friendly service, solid food, with quality ingredients. For a strip restaurant, I didn't feel it was over priced, nor did I feel like I was eating at a chain restaurant. We'll be back. Do make a reservation. I was shocked to see how many people were there on a dead Sunday nite in Las Vegas.
