This Paddock location is touted as the largest pool display IN THE WORLD. That alone makes this worthy of its own page in Frommer's Arizona Guide as a must-see tourist destination. It's called Gardentown Pool Pavilion. Pack up the kids and travel across the country to see the World's largest pool display!!!11!!ONE!!1
I've lived a block away from this place for a long time and not much has changed in the last 10 years from what I can tell. The pools they have are the same as they were a decade or so ago, but that just shows they will last for awhile. It also proves that even pools can go out of style. Much of what's here is painfully outdated while some of it still looks fresh enough. It's still a good reason to visit if you're planning on building a pool to help you get ideas as a wide variety of finishes, shapes and decks are represented.
Getting help from someone here can range in difficulty from easy to insane. Most of the time, I've been ignored. I don't really have much of a problem with this though because the prices here are ridiculous and I would be stupid to spend money here.
If you already have a pool, just a few miles down the road (East of Scottsdale behind the bowling alley) is another pool supply store with much lower prices and better staff. For patio furniture, even though it's one of the largest showrooms you'll find, there's not much worth buying here - especially at these prices. I'm talking sticker shock to the point of inducing laughter.
If that all wasn't enough, they also have a spa area if you just want to buy a fancy hot tub. Again, price gouging. Paddock has been in business for 50 years and this is probably the premier location. It's starting to show its age a little bit, but it's definitely worth stopping by. I can't recommend buying anything here if you're at all thrifty.
