Located in a beautiful Tivoli Village (about a 30 minute drive off strip or 8 miles) Echo and Rig fit right in with ambience and decor. The staff was amazing! We were running behind and 1/2 hour late on our reservation but still received a smile from the front hostess and we were sat within 10 minutes.
Drinks were prepared perfectly. He had Raspberry Mojito.
I had smoked respardo(?) Thyme. That's a sipping drink, no doubt! I liked the smoky herbal taste. Not for everyone.
The waiter was very knowledgeable and we really liked his demeanor. Very good server.
They offer complimentary distilled sparkling water which is a plus for me.
Menu was a good size. Main focus is on the proteins, with sides and such being your choice with an added cost of. $6 and up.
We got:
Portabella fries....perfectly cooked, and thick cut w the lightest coating. My husband ate these up quick!
Watermelon salad with heirloom tomato cucumber and red onion. This was good and fresh, with just the right amount of dressing. Red onions sliced a bit too thick. .. they need to be almost shaved to enjoy raw. Very overpowering so we left several slices lingering in the bottom.
We split the Ribeye Cap. Cooked perfectly but a tad salty for me when used with the bleu cheese sauce.
We did like the red oak grilled taste.
We could have eaten a bigger steak but had a big lunch so this was ok. This came with one stuffed button mushroom and fresh potato chips...so we also got...
Butternut squash with pepitas and some kind of white cheese. This was earthly and good to me but my husband would have preferred something else.
We received complimentary wedding champagne and sorbet with fruit from the manager. A very nice surprise. Thank You.
Overall, if I lived in the area, I would come back, try other menu items, (but of course get those portabella fries hahaha) and ask for light seasoning on my steak. This place is a winner.
