We go here for special dinners: birthdays and anniversaries. The place has a great vibe but can be a little noisy during peak times as there is a huge horseshoe bar and everything is out in the open. It feels more like a place in San Francisco or New York than glitzy Las Vegas. Service was good and the food came out at about the right pace. I have had steaks and the lamb chops before so I thought I'd try the blackened salmon. The server said the salmon was fresh and "very nice." It was a good choice. The fish was cooked perfectly but the blackening seasoning was just touch over done, too strong.
The veggies were cooked perfectly. The rice had a fairly strong flavor I can't describe. I would have liked the flavor a little lighter. I had The clam chowder and it was good, not super great but I would order it again. The creamed spinach had a very cheesy flavor. It was good but I really like the creamed spinach at Lawry's and nothing compares to that.
My wife had the crab stuffed shrimp and loved it. There were huge shrimp with ample amounts of crab. She has this dish every time and was not disappointed. I was lucky because she shared on with me and I also loved it.
The steaks are a little pricey, but in the past they have been exceptional. Having the salmon was the first time I've not had either a steak or lamb and I discovered the entire menu has a great deal of appeal. We really like this place and give it a strong recommendation. Make a reservation and go around 6:00pm as the place gets very busy later in the evening.
