  • Came here with my husband back in June. The place is amazing and beautiful, HOWEVER, I will never go back there. We walked in at our designated time and waited for the man at the front desk to get off the phone. He didn't acknowledge our presence at all. When he did get off the phone he still didn't acknowledge us and we continued to wait. He finally spoke to us and was huffy. Then, when we said who we were, he spoke into his little headset and told someone on the other end the couple with the Groupon were here. Why was mentioning the Groupon necessary? I felt very cheap and stigmatized. From the lobby a woman came and got us and gave us directions about where to go, what to do, etc. She was nice so no issues there. My husband and I took the waters in the Roman bath area, and were offered mimosas (or something like that). Then he went off to the sauna and I went to an area to read and wait for our time to be brought to our couples massage. While I was reading, which is supposed to be quiet and tranquil, two of the female employees were gossiping loudly a short distance away from me. I wish I wrote this review right after my experience in June so I could remember exactly what was said, but now I can't remember. I do remember feeling awkward because they were taking about things that were inappropriate (like customers of the spa) and I heard the f-word a lot. So much for relaxation. One of the women told the other to talk more quietly but I could still hear them clearly and the f-word always comes out a little louder than other words. We met up in a room and were greeted by our massage therapists. All I can say about the massage was that alone would have kept me from coming back. It was the worst massage I've had in my life. I left there in so much pain. I was in pain the rest of our trip, which was about 2 more days, and I had to drive home to the Bay Area so uncomfortable. My husband liked his massage so I don't know what happened with mine. I guess that's about it for my review. I will never go back. Not that it matters because they make a ton of money over there and one lost client is no skin off their back. I just want Reliquary to know that they have some pretty disrespectful and unprofessional people working there.
