I own a unit in SKY Las Vegas condo on the strip. There was a water leak somewhere above my unit. I was not in LV at the time so My building management contacted me and asked permission to inspect my unit with a Belfor specialist to determine if my unit had been affected by this water leakage. I agreed and gave them permission to enter my unit. They inspected my unit and reported back to me that there was no damage.
A month later I visited my unit while on vacation. I saw clearly the remnants of a leak (now dried) that occurred in my unit from a leak above. I reported it to my building manager. They then asked for permission to repeat the entire process and search for the leak again.
After a week I received a $500 dollar bill from Belfor telling me that I had a leak from above and that it was all dried, and that there was no mold. Why on earth would this crooked company bill me $500 to repeat to me exactly what I had reported to my building manager in the first place?????
They made up a bunch of charges ..one of which was an "EMERGENCY" call after hours. How was that an emergency. They missed the leak on their first inspection, and a month later after I reported a leak had occurred they considered that an emergency? They did that simply to bill me for more money. They did other things to pad their bill as well. They had to, as they performed no actual service. Be careful with this company. In searching for "damage" they intentionally damage your home, so they can get this......fix the damage they caused and bill you for that too.
This is a shady company that hopes to have their cake and eat it too. Even to the extent of falsified bills and intentional damage to your home as they purportedly seek to find the source and detect moisture or mold.
