This review is exclusively for the PARTS department for Subaru of South Blvd.
I'm a Subaru enthusiast and have owned multiple different models. Currently I own a 2002 WRX with a complete 05 STi swap. I recently called to ask for a coolant line that runs from the turbo to the expansion tank due to mine rupturing this morning on my way to work. Simple enough, nothing crazy just a piece of rubber maybe $10...
I was told I could not be helped due to not having a VIN number for the vehicle.. ITS A SWAPPED ENGINE from an 05 STi. I do not have a VIN for an 05 the chassis is an 02.. Way to help the enthusiast modified crowd.. Honestly by them declining to help me just because of that specific reason really makes me realize they could care less to help me out. Sounds like a case of the lazies..
I then called Williams Subaru of Charlotte right after getting off the phone with South Blvd. I spoke to a man named Mike in parts who was a GREAT HELP! He instantly knew what I was talking about and had an order for me ready to go in less than 5 mins.
This is not the only poor experience I've had with South Blvd Parts Dept. its like prying teeth every time I call for basic small relatively inexpensive parts for my Subarus. They generally have absolutely no product knowledge.
They need employees who actually know what the heck they are doing back there..
