One of many of the rebranded Firkin bars. Coincidentally, one of the many places I hold business meetings.
The place is nicely put together, however, I guess during biz hours - it's pretty dead. Which I don't really mind as I don't have to talk loudly about corporate sensitive materials.
Large bar, high tables in front as you walk in, comfortable couches, a pool table, an obligatory dart area, and a large patio. Nice.
Butler brew is their in-house ale. It's really quite good. Food is extra heavy and really not a standout but it is pub-grub. Take it for what it is. I'm usually here for a liquid lunch.
All in all, if you are looking for a casual hangout spot near the 401/404, this is once of them - you could go to Shops of Don Mills but they're usually packed and parking is a problem.
Cheers.
