Read a ton of great reviews about this place, and since we're new to the Charlotte area, we were in search of an Italian hot spot. It was a real cold night out, so as we walked by we saw the fireplace roaring out on the patio and a nice table for 4 in front of it. When we walked in, we asked the hostess if we could sit there. She said someone was going to clean it off for us and they'd sit us right away. Another group was also being seated at the same time as us and as we approached the area, the other party of four was deciding if they wanted to switch and go snag our table in front of the fire. I said to our hostess "Oh no, they're gonna take our table we requested!" and not once did she step in and tell the waitress in front that she was about to sit us there. So yeah, that was kinda frustrating.
Other than that, our waitress Brie was helpful and had an awesome personality that lightened up our mood after the table incident. Drinks were good, although wine by the glass is pretty pricey. Beers were reasonable. I had the chicken and broccoli penne, which was more than enough and I ended up with lots of leftovers. My husband had the rigatoni with meat sauce. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!
