| - I'm not exactly sure how to review this place, given that I am not a NASCAR fan and given that this seems to be one of the only tourist attractions in the city of Charlotte. So I guess I will just run down the list of things that stood out to me.
I came here for a private event, which was catered and had music and dancing. That part was fun. The space is fairly modern and very white, with a track of race cars angling down a ramp above your head. It's kind of cool to pick out all the various sponsors on the cars, and if you were a racing fan, I'm sure you would enjoy identifying the numbers on the cars. For non-fans though, perhaps the most interesting thing is the several displays of wreckages, accompanied by videos showing the crash. When you see the twisted heaps of metal up close and personal, it's pretty amazing that the drivers walk away from the crashes unscathed more often than not.
There's another section to the Hall that I didn't investigate, but I am guessing it had displays about the history of racing, or at least I hope it does. Given that this is one of the top tourist attractions in Charlotte, it's worth stopping by, even if just to watch the spectacular crashes playing on a loop.
