I went to SAM's club and always pay my account off in full monthly. On Sun 5/7 I purchased $39.52 stuff and having left my SAM credit card home decided to pay with a check. The check I paid with was off an account that was originally a checking account that I forgot had been switched to a saving account.
I called Sam's club and offered to go in person and pay in cash the $39.52. They said no, it had already gone to a bank nothing they could do. I called the bank and it took an act of God to get a human being but I did get a Rick Foster at 800-927-0599 X6495. Very nice man, said "No problem, we can get it resolved. He told me to call him back the following Monday the check did not yet clear. I called him back Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Friday left my name and phone number ever time. NEVER received a call back. All that had to be done was put it on my Sam's club Credit Card and this entire thing could have been resolved from day one. On Friday after not hearing from Mr Foster I called 800 366-2425 and spoke with a supervisor named Andy 8033677. He asked me all kinds of questions about the checking account routing # account n# drivers license etc. I kept telling him the account no longer existed as a checking account number is has sinced been converted to a savings account so it is not the same number. Then he insisted I call Sam's club and have a supervisor from the store and told me directly NO, they would not call the bank numerous times. Is this any way to run a ball game?
I can without a doubt say I will not be renewing my membership.
