  • I have friends who bring hard cap over when they visit, which is so incredibly delicious, but living in the north hills, I've never actually had Sarris ice cream or stepped into the store until this past weekend. Boy, was I in for a treat! It's the most amazing candy store, and there are also tons of plush animals and toys. A kid's dream! I came in looking for a gift for my 2 year old nephew, but there were so many options I just ended up purchasing a gift card. You can get them in any denomination at the front counter. Then I had to grab an ice cream cone. I'm an Oreo/cookies and cream fanatic, so I ordered 1 scoop of cookies and cream ice cream in a waffle cone. The portions are extremely generous. 1 scoop was more like 3 or 4 scoops. I was in shock when they handed it to me. Also, their cookies and cream is made with chocolate ice cream. Everything about this cone was a dream-the size, the taste. It was filled with large chunks of cookies, the ice cream was super rich and creamy, and the cone was crisp and flavorful. Luckily, my sister and her family live minutes from here, so I will have plenty excuses to come back.
