  • Don't be fooled by the advertisement you may receive in your email for free shipping, no minimum. I noticed that when PetSmart has free shipping, it is really not free shipping. You are actually paying about $3.00 extra for each item when you order an item online and it says free shipping. If the item is available for both store pick-up and free shipping, you would probably be paying $3.00 extra even if you choose store pick-up. I noticed this because I ordered Blue Buffalo dog food online and picked free shipping. However, I went into the PetSmart store to get my dog's nail clipped and I saw that the same dog food I ordered online (that day) with free shipping was $3.00 less than what I paid online. And yesterday I went to PetSmart to take advantage of their offer for buy $40.00 worth of products and receive $5.00 off your next visit. The Blue Buffalo dog food that I had just purchased was now on sale for $10.00 off so I purchased another bag. I went home to look on my computer (I probably could have checked the price at the store using my Smartphone, but I didn't) to see what the price of this dog food was with their free shipping offer, no minimum, and again I found that the price of the same dog food I purchased at store was $3.00 more when you purchase it online. However, I still think PetSmart has best prices when it comes to Blue Buffalo dog food and that's why I am giving PetSmart 3 stars instead of 2.
