It's been 3 years since I have written a review about this hotel. The reason being is they raised their rates so high I couldn't afford to stay here. But they had a rate that was pretty good so we came over last week. The pro's to this hotel are they have the best real estate in Vegas. Easy to get around and the view from your balcony are amazing. I got a wrap around suite. I have stayed in all the rooms and suites in this hotel at one time or another. You would think as a frequent flyer I would be given a little special treatment. Nope doesn't happen at this hotel. I had booked this room and asked for a high floor facing the fountains. When I checked in the clerk said that you get what you get when you check in. In most hotels they check their reservations that morning and try and get what the guest wants. Every time I come to this hotel I'm treated like I've never been here before. It's been 5 years since this hotel opened and in Vegas time that's 15 years. It's time for a remodel. The carpet was torn up. I still don't understand why you have a kitchen and no utensils. Also, I don't know a hotel that doesn't allow outside food or drinks. That's ridiculous. We had to hide our food in a suitcase to get it upstairs. I had a good time at both pools. Although the bamboo seems to be for the older crowd, which I'm a part of. I think this is a great hotel but it's going down hill. Been sold several times and maybe they should think about what they are doing wrong. I love the balcony but in the summer it's to warm to sit out long. I think I will go back to the Vdara. Better service, lower rate and more for your buck.
