  • I am going to start this review with some context. I am a Vegas local and we have seen all of the Cirque shows that are resident and that come through. So I do have a high bar. When you first walk into WOW, the theatre is really intimate and inviting. There are big screens all around with nature scenes, a bg central fountain, and sound effects. Loved it! The show started with a really annoyinng clown. Now, the Cirque shows always have clowns and their clowns are always funny and bring cohesiveness between the acts during set changes. This clown was annoying, cliche, and every time he came out I think most of the audience just wanted him gone. The show started off a bit slow, with some sub-par costuming and the most predictable songs you could imagine. At points I downright felt like I had accidentally booked tickets to a children's show - like the pirate songs. The acrobats were MUCH better and the dance numbers and background music definitely improved substantially after the first 20 minutes or so (basically once the pirate act is over youre in the clear). The roller skating act and archer were amazing, all of the acrobats were talented, and I saw a few things that I have never seen in Cirque shows too! Overall, the acrobats/skaters/stars were all 5/5 top notch but the background choreography, music selections, and most costuming felt cheap and cliche (3/5). I suggest buying the ~$70 seats in the outer circle as opposed to the closer seats which cost twice as much for almost the same view.
