  • This property management company is very unprofessional. I had a one year lease at a property managed by this company. Toward the end of the one year lease I decided to extend the lease for two months. They accomplished this by having me sign a month to month lease agreement. Which I signed two one month lease agreements, one for each month I would extend. Later I lost my job and planned on moving out of state. I asked Faith Real Estate if it was ok to move out of the property one month early, which meant only extending my one year lease by one month. The lady I spoke to said she would ask the owners of the property and she would call me back. She never called me back, which forced me to call her back. She said, "Yes, that would be fine to leave one month early, we can terminate the last month lease." Thinking that everything was in order, I packed and moved. 3 months later I received a bill from Faith Real Estate claiming that I owed them money for the last month of the lease still. This amount totaled $780. I called and spoke with the bookkeeper for the company. She very unapologetically told me that she has no notes or records of them allowing me to cancel the lease one month early. She said she would ask around the office to see if anyone remembered speaking with me, and that she would call me back. I NEVER received a call back and I assumed the issue was resolved. Only to my surprise I received a collections notice for the $780 almost a year later. They never tried to contact me about the issue once, other than the initial bill a year earlier. Once again I called the office to inquire about the collections notice, and once again the bookkeeper unapologetically told me they have done everything they needed and had no choice but to forward the debt to collections. She said she would "ask around the office again to see if anyone remembered letting me out of my lease a month early" but to no avail. Now I am stuck with a collections account for which I cannot pay. My credit is being destroyed and they could care less. Their disorganization has placed me in an unfair situation. Their poor communication and horrible "Note taking" is suddenly my problem. If you are looking to rent a home, and Faith Real Estate happens to be the property management company, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Find an honest, organized and professional company to work with. Also, you can look on www.bbb.org to find that this company has an "F" with the Better business Bureau. Which comes at no surprise.
