Please, PLEASE, do NOT *ALLOW* anyone that you care about to be here! This facility is run on the cheap with minimal to NO access to specialists, doctors, basic rehab equipment.
1. Serious lack of skilled staffing! If recovering and a wound begins to bleed or there is a complication, it could be life threatening - there are no people on site most of the time to properly evaluate and treat wounds, blood pressure issues or infections.
2. Language and skill barriers! Only three people we encountered in our ward could fluently speak English. Two of them did not work weekends or evenings and were only administrators, one did not deal with the patients directly. It is extremely difficult for a patient to communicate their needs and I personally watched the concerns of the patient ignored or - as previous - running into an issue where staff members were not trained to perform the level of care that the patient needed.
3. LOW BUDGET! Things are fixed very slowly and problems are responded to with equal poorness. When the patient needed something, it was not uncommon for 30-45 minutes to pass before someone attended them - despite multiple people being nearby and the call light being in clear view of the ward station the entire time. A couple of things were just never fixed the entire time the patient was there. The facility lacks equipment that other physical rehabilitation facilities would have, such as walkers.
PLEASE do not ALLOW anyone you care about to be housed in this facility. YOU HAVE A CHOICE!
