  • Unfortunately all the previous reviews on here are spot on. This is my second and last experience with spirit airlines. I was delayed for only 15 minutes, going down to Tampa, Florida. However, going back I was delayed 7 hours (due to a mrchanical problem with the plane). A similar scenario happened the first time ( 2 years ago) on the way down to Florida. After spending all night in the Tampa International Airport, they told me that I (along with the other irritated and sleep deprived passengers) would receive $50.00 towards our next spirit airlines flight. That is like a slap in the face. There seats are uncomfortable and they don't accept cash for overpriced snacks and drinks. What happened to complementary peanuts?!?!?...... NEVER FLY SPIRIT!!!!! (unless you want to spend endless hours waiting for a flight)....It is not good when they say that they are not sure how long it is going to take before we leave....that is once they actually announced what was happening. I saw a police officer bust through the door and fire trucks beside the gate at one point (they did not tell us about what was happening) It was mostly through email alerts and rumors from other passengers (which were useless(emails), since we were already at the airport).......never again! :/ My vacation definitely ended on a sour note, thanks to Spirit airlines! If I could give them 0 stars, I would.
