We rented a property managed by Renton Yu. We completed a thorough walk thru inspection before moving in and submitted to Renton. After moving out, our deposit refund was deducted by over $1,000 for items that were very clearly written on the move in walk thru inspection. It took over a week of emails and phone calls for us to even be able to talk to Renton regarding the charges, and he then proceeded to tell us to "go ahead, take me to court, I have pictures, I win." He explained writing everything down on the inspection report was just a formality. Why weren't we instructed to take pictures if that was going to be the only way to recover our deposit? He is clearly out to make money unjustly charging tenants for things that were wrong with a house before you've even moved in... BEWARE!
