  • I don't usually post reviews, but I should, and what a great place to start with STRUT! I just moved to the area a couple weeks ago from Atlanta, GA. I don't really know anybody yet, but I wanted (needed) to get my hair done. With no friends to ask, I went on Yelp & found STRUT - 5 star reviews from everybody! And now I know why! I called Anthony on Tuesday or Wednesday & asked to get in this weekend - he scheduled me for Friday 5:30pm, after I told him I work M-F until 4:30 in Phoenix (Saturday was already booked). I carpool with my mom, so she came with me. He & Alexia were great. First of all, he spoke to me like a normal person, & really listened to me when I was describing what was going on with my hair & what my end goal was. He developed a game plan & described it to me, including every step & reasoning along the way, without being patronizing. I was happy to feel understood & felt more than confident in letting him get to work on my head! I'll call what we did "Phase 1" of my journey to get the long, healthy, luxurious locks that I want. I was there about 3 hours, and was very appreciative that both Anthony & Alexia were spending their Friday night at work for me. While they were working on me, Anthony gave my mom a full consultation for her hair, which she had a ton of questions about. He was happy to answer her questions & make her feel comfortable to ask them. Literally, this is the first time I've had FUN getting my hair done. And for the first time in years, when I looked in the mirror before I left, I LOVED IT. I'm excited to get back to him in 8 weeks for "Phase 2" (on a Saturday - he remembered) & will recommend him to anybody. For those wondering, he did some color correction, highlights, lowlights (maybe?), an allover "glaze" to get me more "cool" than "warm," Olaplex treatment in everything, deep conditioning, trim & blowout. My hair is beautiful, and I'm excited knowing that it's going to be beautiful along the way as we work to get it to where I want it to be. You can trust him with color & cut. It's at a premium price because it's a premium experience. I was more than happy to pay - the service was outstanding, personalized, and Anthony & Alexia really care & want to help.
