  • Lengthy but worth saving you a headache... I was new to the Summerlin area. We thought because of location this place would somehow be good. Please. Not at all. Also, from our first visit to our last. As fast as we got called in the back, I just knew this place would be awesome and then it started... with the wait. We waited for almost an hour in the back before she came in the room. She had her MA ask redundant questions that were already answered on the form you initially fill out in the waiting room. Came in pushing a bunch of immunizations, they didn't even need at the time. Barely examined my kids and the MA gave the shots. Didn't really interact with my kids, seemed almost afraid of them, of me and my husband. Every well visit was taking almost two plus hours. Moved to Henderson. Now we're talking a drive, just to wait for hours! It was terrible. I even told her how far away we lived. I even started coming a lil late on purpose, just to wait even longer. My two boys had a 1:30 appointment, we didn't get back home until 6:00 pm!!! Traffic is crazy but not that damn bad. I was at her office until 4pm!!! I had my baby at 34 weeks at Centennial, told them who my pediatrician was, she NEVER ONCE CAME TO SEE HIM the whole time he was in the NICU. They called the Dr. several times as well. No response. She was more concerned with him getting circumcised and still is, at 2 years old. And she doesn't even do them until after a month, it would be a referral if I wanted it sooner. Speaking of referrals, she refers your kid's out for EVERYTHING!!! No feeling of a Dr. that cares or can help your child. Today was the last straw and I'm taking my kids elsewhere. My 13 year old daughter has seasonal asthma and always has. When we moved here she still had two inhalers. Well about a year ago, she was out. At her appointment (really her wasted visit, drive, just to get a referral for foot pain) I asked to get that inhaler script so she'll have it come fall/allergy season. I go to the Wal-Mart right after and they've never even received the script. I never went back maybe it not being the season for it, I don't know. Plus, she was ok and still had her breathing machine for emergencies. Asked again in October, at another child's appointment, for the inhaler script, she said she'd call it in. Went to Wal-Mart, again. They said it was never called in... again. I call the office and the MA says they need to talk to the Dr. and that they'd call back, AGAIN NEVER HAPPENED. Now the season is fully upon us. She was getting by with the breathing treatments but she needs an inhaler and had a horrible attack last night! I called after hours, no answering service, just her husband acting like there was nothing he could do and "goodbye, call in the morning." Call back in the morning because he didn't have any options. I'm told they'll call me back. That AGAIN, NEVER. HAPPENED. I called them, went on about the lack of communication, only to get told, "well since she hasn't been seen since last February... You'll need to bring her in." Why wouldn't that have been said months ago or even this morning?! She's 13, she only goes once a year or for sick visits. Why wait and give me the run around!?!? I then explain regardless, I need the inhaler that I've BEEN asking for, send it in! I refused to drive there and sit for half the day for a script I've BEEN asking for, for a year and I lost it!!! I shouldn't have waited as long as I did and switched as soon as I didn't feel comfortable... that is my fault. Got a new Dr. for my children today, near me. Got an appointment and the inhaler today as well! She is losing patient's like crazy, it's always dead in there another reason it shouldn't take forever!
