This is the message that I sent to Village Ice Cream. I didn't hear back from them.
"Hey I thought I would write a private message here instead of a review as I want to give you a chance to rectify something before I officially post something.
I was at the east village location last week with 7 year old son and my husband. It was our first time there and we loved the ice cream, the selection, the quality, the taste, everything.
However the music was so loud that the server couldn't hear me and got my order wrong. It was cranked and people were having to shout to be heard. Then one of the staff actually turned it up for the song, "Spazz" by Pharell.
Now my son is happily munching away on his strawberry coconut ice cream and hears the lyrics, "B**ch, I don't give a f**k" and so on. If you not familiar, the song is peppered with the language. And is was cranked up!
I like Pharell. I like alternative music. I think it was poor judgement and taste to play that loud in your establishment - an ice cream shop, not a night club.
Just an FYI. We would like to come back. But not until this has been addressed.
