| - The Gilbert House can be hard to miss if you aren't keeping your eyes open, since it's a house converted into a restaurant. Get there early, or expect a wait during weekends.
The Gilbert House offers an assortment of classic breakfast options, including Benedicta, omelets and homemade quiché. If you like cinnamon rolls and have a sweet tooth, their homemade cinnamon roll is something you should try. Comes out warm with a delicious slightly tart icing. My family always opts to share it as an "appetizer" because you'll need room for your main dish.
When I've gone here, my family has tried most of the breakfast choices. For those who don't eat meat, their is an omelette and benedict option that doesn't include meat. The classic two eggs option comes with bacon/sausage/avocado, which is a nice alternative. Their corned beef and hash browns is delicious, not too runny while not too crispy and dry. Most of the dishes come with hash browns that are more on the crunchy-crisp side, just the way I like it. Lastly, the quiche is one of my favorites! Comes with a breakfast salad and homemade muffin. Be sure to ask what the quiche and muffin of the day are because they rotate.
Great place for breakfast and brunch!
