| - To be fair, this was my first "all male dance show"" so this might just not be my thing...but there may be others wondering, so I wanted to put time in this review, with the caveat that it may just be the way these things are.
First- we were at a "table" on the outer edge of the inside ring. I want to say the table was the actual top of a barrel (whiskey, wine, etc), if not, it was about that size. We had two tickets and were sharing the "table" with two women we didn't know
The tables are pressed super close together. Don't be deceived as I was by the seat map. There is not much space between tables and the chairs are back to back. Also, the table top is round, but the seats are in a semi circle only around half of the "table" as you would have your back to the stage from the other side (it was pushed against the couch in front so you couldn't anyway).
This next statement is not for size shaming, it's in hopes the show owners will see what they may not be seeing: there is not enough room for four women at the tables sized 8 much less any larger. The chairs are the tiny circular old fashioned bar chairs and the tables are attached to the floor, so you can't work together to make another audience member more comfortable. We ended up scooting our chairs back and got asked to scoot up out of the walkway a few times, but there is no where to go.
I ask reviewers who sat in other locations if they were more comfortable where they sat?
Being crammed on the outside edge would have its advantages however, when it came to interaction as I did get my chair pulled out and "Mike" wiggled on me a bit. I failed the whole room in this part as I was so shocked, I froze. Sort of, I did rub his shirted belly...yeah it wasn't my sexiest maneuver. I won't go into anymore detail but will say the "sardine" seats were good for interaction with the dancers. Many times the interactions were a bit aggressive, I saw one dancer grab a girls head and imitate.....with her head in his crotch...and I was actually repulsed by it :(
To me, the "plot" was super lame, though I LOVED the energy of the female host. I get it, no one is there for the plot, but there is a difference if it distracts from the good parts.....and by that I mean really great dancing. These men are GREAT dancers. I don't personally think you have to repeatedly hump a wall to show that off ....and actually didn't want to be interacted with as much as I thought I would as it became increasingly more raunchy and aggressive as the show went on. Where's the sexy?
Please don't think I expected my real fantasy, a hot guy in a cowboy hat and jeans rubbing my feet and asking me how things went with that b*tch at work and genuinely caring about the answer, to happen in a show like this, but there were just considerably more times a man's face was in a girls crotch than I found comfortable.
I would love it if they classed up the show a bit, took a few chairs out and let the men show off their talents - I don't want to give things away, but the times when it was less about raunch and vaginas and more about sexy men doing things like singing, were much better.
And finally...the waiter kept stroking my arm when he would pass me. I was wearing a sleeveless dress so it was skin on skin and it was a lot....and he wasnt attractive...and I never had the chance to ask him to stop because it was so cramped and loud in there and someone said that was part of the whole experience. I dunno, it seemed sleazy.
Again, since this is so long, I circle back to the fact that this was my first strip show. They are selling out for a reason, it was just not the show for me.
If management reads this, please consider giving your patrons more room to be comfortable...or at least properly diagram the reality of the seating plan on your ticket site. Happy to add pics if that helps explain better what I think is a pretty bad representation of the way the seats really are.
In summary, between the seat squish, the unnecessary raunch, way too many vagina references and just something missing, I would want my money back if I had the option. At the highest price ticket level, it's just not worth it
