I was a member back when this was Extreme Fitness. Then out of nowhere it changed to GoodLife one day. I did notice some machines aren't maintained. Big rips on some machines, left like that for a while.
The guys trying to sell you personal training are worse than car salesmen. Seriously aggressive and they won't let you see the gym, without talking to them. I had a friend want to train with me once. They wouldn't allow him in without talking to the personal trainers. We argued that he didn't need one (he was a body builder haha!) so they let him in. $30 fee though. That seems steep!
There are some creepy guys here, but I feel most gyms are like that. I've heard stories about the daycare....I won't comment as I've never used it or even stepped inside.
Most of the staff at the front are nice and welcoming. One girl jumped in front of me and said my membership expired. Like I was trying to sneak in or something and she cracked the case wide open. Obviously I didn't know. I felt her aggressive approach was unnecessary.
Lots of parking. Lots of showers. The steam room is nice. The pool is nice, but I never used it. It seemed to be out of service a lot. Lots of tvs.
My advice, bring flip flops for the showers & steam room.
