| - I really liked this doctor, but she has a policy that is absurd. She does not inform her patients either. Charming! If you switch to a different doctor, she does not take you back. Now, I could understand if you were flipping about all over, but the last time I saw her was in 2007. Eleven years ago. I guess, you should continue to see her even when you move out of state!?! When I came back it was a number of years before I had the ability and courage to seek help again. I was referred to a different doctor. While I found my feet a bit under him, I finally got the ability to call Dr. Szafraniec, only to be informed of her policy. Well, cool! Why is she in this business? I'll admit she is a good doctor if you are under her care but her policies suck. Policies and negligence from her peers just like this is one reason why healthcare is difficult. Getting a good doctor even on the phone or open to taking patients is difficult. A patient should stick with a doctor for a while to see if they can be effective. I did that with the one I am with now. I wanted my previous doctor after trying for over a year my referral doctor, but, hey, Murphy's law has a fondness for me in this category. Hence my low score. It's not really the doctor, but her policies. Policies like that make you wonder about her medical ethics which believe it or not can have a lot of shades of grey (I took a class on it for my major). When policies like that seem so rigid, I cannot help but wonder but for whom they are written for.
