Interesting ambiance inside and ok sidewalk seating street presence but it was John the outside waiter who makes being there worthwhile. We ordered the mussels and clams in the garlic wine sauce - very well cooked and tasty and paired well with my glass of Chianti. Next the strands and meatballs - light tomato sauce with an interesting flavor, not your Italian Gramma's recipe but it was tasty. Entrees are served with bread and a chilled avocado pesto blend sauce that was tasty as well. Don't bother with the blackberry lemon vodka drink unless you like Koolaid. John did his best to make the drink more palatable by adding limoncello and more vodka but it just made it taste more alcoholic rather than a nice blend of tasty. If this place upped its specialty drinks game and perhaps added veal to the menu it might be a 4 star establishment, but there's something about the place that just doesn't hit the mark. Can't put our fingers on it. I mean, it wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't terrific either. Very sad.
