  • Intolerable. I took friends from the US here and I was so depressed and embarrassed. They took my GUM at the entrance because they considered it contraband aka they sell it in their vending machines and want you to buy it. Having gum confiscated out of my pocket was actually the most classically grotesque Montreal experience and it made me want to leave here and never ever come back. Policies like this are why this city is dying :(
