Terrible service! Don't rent from Hertz at Calgary Airport, especially if you're on business or on a tight schedule!
I had made a pre-paid reservation a week in advance, only to arrive and be told that a car was not available and that I would have to wait for 40 minutes so they could try and get one ready! I asked why I had to wait when I reserved and prepaid well in advance, and was simply told they "ran out of cars" with no other explanation.
This really messed up my day and had to cancel a business meeting because of it. I also realized that I had forgotten to bring my GPS with me, so I asked if I could get a car with a built-in Navigation system instead...but was told I had only rented a compact. Duh! I told the clerk that I would obviously pay for an upgrade...but was again told that I couldn't. Asked if I could rent a mobile GPS then...but was told they don't carry it before the clerk turned her back and walked away.
Waited 40 minutes (crazy me), still no car...canceled my reservation, walked over to the National counter and drove out with a car 10 minutes later!
Hertz...never again! You don't know the meaning of service. There are lots of other companies to choose from, and I'll take my business elsewhere.
