Handel's is a great place to get homemade ice cream, even in the middle of a snowstorm (which is when we went). This location is at the intersection of 82 & 176. One thing that stands out at Handel's is that you order outside. The only thing inside the buildings is where the ice cream is made. That's what makes it stand out that we went there during a snowstorm. It was all worth it though. There are tons of flavors, many of those being very creative. I ordered the black raspberry and really enjoyed it. I have to say it wasn't quite as good as this black raspberry ice cream I had in Vermont, but that was different, so I'm not including that in my rating. Just as a bonus, if you have a dog with you, you can get a free "doggie cone" which is a really small cone with vanilla ice cream in it. Overall, if your looking for great ice cream in Northeast Ohio as well as a couple of other areas around the country, stop into Handel's. You won't regret the calories.
