| - I'll be honest, asides from the pretty display, cute concept, and random kpop they play as soon as you walk in, thats really all that there is to it. Service was great and helpful but food-wise we're talking a little on the pricier side - think Duo - but it's nowhere as good as Duo. So really, you're just paying extremely pricey number tags for really mediocre foods. Since I got 90% of their store products, I can basically vouch for this. $53 later, their cake items and baked items have impressed me little to none. And like any other Chinese bakeries, you get tax waived if you buy 6 or more food items.
- Tiramisu: standard, too sweet, nothing special. Meh all in all and not really recommended for the price. If it were $2, maybe.
- matcha tiramisu: meh, just so meh. Too sweet for my liking.
- black sesame roll cake: yikes, don't let the black sesame appearance trick you, it's super sweet and super dry and I didn't like how the grounded black sesame bits tasted like sandpaper in your mouth. Yuck.
- matcha chiffon cake: this was okay, surprisingly not excruciatingly sweet like its matcha tiramisu counterpart. But I mean for the price, I definitely won't be getting it again.
- earl grey chiffon cake: this. This, this, this. This was the sole cake item that I enjoyed. It wasn't sweet at all and a perfect blend of tea and dessert. Yum.
- butter croissant: dry. I don't know if it's because they left it there the entire day but it was dry, tasted like it was from a week ago, but still priced at $3. Starbucks even tastes better.
- hazelnut croissant: it's okay, I guess. Still a bit too dry for my liking and the hazelnut was just Nutella sprinkled. Not amazing and definitely not worth the price tag.
- matcha croissant: maybe it's just me since I've been tasting nothing but mouthful of sugars from the cakes, but I couldn't taste the matcha much from the croissant. It was green coloured mediocre at best.
- taro knot: huge but not exactly extravagant. The filling is taro paste and as usual, too sweet for me.
- earl grey bread (I can't remember the exact name for it): it's earl grey tea cream spread into a small baguette. I'm starting to think everything in the store is diabetes prone other than the earl grey products. Try this one if you aren't offended by the price tag.
They have their own bubble tea menu which consists of the salted (or so they call sea salt) crema drinks but they also have the top 10 from chatime menu too. Currently their own menu isn't available, however, so I'd make do with their 30% sugar drinks.
Now that's all I can think of from the top of my head but I probably had more, though none made too much of an impression to me so it's no wonder I can't think of them.
TLDR; it's just okay, I guess. Nothing special. 2.5/5 rating.
