  • I am in LOVE with this place. I was attending a conference at the Venetian for several days and I ate here everyday. I can't believe I haven't written a review. When my family came to meet me in Vegas, the first thing I said was, "You have GOT to try this place." The only reason I'm writing a late review now is because I found an old receipt from the Grand Luxe and now I'm sad because I miss my Chicken Madeira. First, it's conveniently located within the hotel (for you guests) and not a far walk away from the meeting/convention rooms (for people like me). There was no wait the several times I went, although it was busy but the space is large enough to accommodate indoor seating and artificial outdoor seating (it's not technically outdoors because you're outside of the main restaurant but still within the walkways/slot machine of the hotel and people are walking by as you eat). Anyhow, let me tell you.. first let's start with the FREE bread.. my enemy. I love eating the inside soft part only and leaving the crust, and my colleague likes eating the crust and not the inside. Something for everyone. As for the menu, everything is delicious.... except for this fish dish that was too lemon=y and I sent It back and ordered something else. I thought it was just me but my colleague ordered the same thing and sent it back also. They were gracious about it. The servers are all friendly. Maybe they hate you on the inside but they don't act like it on the outside. Next, the portions are HUUUUGE... Yes, it could cost $15-20 for some plates (my madeira chicken and pot roast were each $18.95 according to my receipt) but you could split it with 2 people or take it to go and it's totally affordable. I have a HEALTHY appetite and I would always have an actual half of my meal to go because it was so huge. That is always a plus in my book when I can eat until I'm about to burst and still have enough leftover to feed me for another meal.... The prices are extremely reasonable. I'm looking at an old receipt and apparently my thai fried chicken was $12.95 and a kids mac n cheese was $5.95. Definitely reasonably priced. Considering the portions and quality, it is worth it. A large selection of comfort foods, pasta, Asian inspired dished with an American flare, etc... definitely something for everyone, including kids. This is like Denny's or IHOP's older, fancier, more handsome, brother... Plus you know a place is great when I ate there several days in a row and ordered something different every single time and still had a great experience... CANT WAIT TO PLAN A TRIP BACK TO VEGAS JUST SO I CAN EAT HERE AGAIN... LOL
