  • I have been wearing the 623 shoe for a long time now. I bought my first pair while traveling out of state. My shoes failed on me, and so we made an unplanned stop at a shoe store. I will spare the details of me trying on shoes. Suffice it to say that I always have problems finding shoes that don't slip or feel odd. When I tried the 623 it was perfect, so I bought it. Fast forward a bit and my 623s were wearing out. That's when I found this store. It has the added bonus of being recommended by my podiatrist who actually wrote a script for proper support shoes. The 623s qualify. So I bought them again. Well, here I am again a few years later. Now they are 624s. But it appears to be the same shoe. It didn't quite feel right when I put them on initially, but after a few minutes of walking in them my feet seemed to settle into them. So I bought them. Been wearing them for two weeks and so far doing well. I also bought a pair of "slides". They are synthetic and so should work well around the house and in gym locker rooms (showers). Signing up for their email thing got me a discount on both the shoes and the slides. As a side note, never buy cheap shoes. They just mess up your feet and sometimes even your knees and hips. Not worth it. Also, don't go for a shoe just because it's endorsed by a celebrity. Our podiatrist specifically mentioned New Balance as a good shoe. The folks in this store can steer you correctly. Perhaps not as knowledgeable as those in The Walking Company, but much more so than your average shoe store people.
