| - I love how unique this place is. The market on the right side of the building has a variety of items that you can't find everywhere. I especially appreciate the fact that they now carry Millie's ice cream (shout out!). I love the atmosphere inside with the string lighting and open kitchen and big middle bar area. Marty's has always been at the top of my list for brunch options. Their brunch food is just so good! The only downfall is that it can be a bit of a wait time to be seated. But they use no-wait and have various samples of cheeses, dips, juice etc on Sunday mornings around their market side of the building that you can wander around and sample while you wait.
Now, the reason I gave this place four stars was due to their happy hour and dinner. When I heard they now started serving dinner I was very excited. However I was a little underwhelmed with the amount and taste of the dinner food. Because I'm always so impressed with their brunch, i was hoping to be equally as such with their dinner, but it just wasn't the case. We had the burger and the scallops and we rated it about a 6 out of 10.
We then went back to happy hour this week to give that a try. The drink deal is pretty good, which is $3 beer and $5 wine from 5-7. The best thing food wise we ordered was the cheese plate, which was only $7 and so much cheese. Great deal. But everything else was a little underwhelming, which was the mac and cheese, bbq squash, and jambalaya pierogies.
All in all, Marty's is a great, unique place to try in the strip and I can't wait to go back and enjoy brunch again soon'
