The first time I had Siphon processed coffee was at Sam James coffee bar, which will remain as my fave coffee shop because of the integrity of the owner and the quality of the beans but with a recent visit to Chicago and reminder of my love for Intelligentsia coffee and it's pour over coffee I decided that a return home would require me to find the best pour place in the city.
Read reviews on Seven Grams and decided to go. With intentions to go the pour route I got distracted when I saw something called the Trifecta. They claim to have the only machine in Canada so obvi I forgot about my original intent for visit.
The atmosphere is clean and modern with lots of seating. I found the staff to be slightly snobby, and not in a I'm a coffee connoisseur type of way, but more like this is Ave and Dav and my daddy owns a Ferrari.
Thank god the coffee was fantastic, I'd like to come back to to try the pour but their capps looked good also and I had a gluten free choco almond cookie which was delicious as well.
My heart still belongs to Sam James coffee but I'd give this over-priced place prolly another chance.
