  • Being escape room fanatics, our group of 4 did a same day booking appointment online on a Saturday since we did not want to wait to go to another escape place at 11pm. At first we all agreed to arrive really early to play some games since this is what we usually do at other locations. Unfortunately (this is the first star I'm taking away), they do not have much of a big waiting area with board games and what not to play. Their only waiting area is the two coaches located at the front reception area. Now, having to wait until our 10pm start time (it was around 9pm when we arrived), I figured we could sign the waver and get over the payment process...NOPE! They told us to come back or wait on the benches until it is 15 minutes before our start time. When 9:45 arrived, half of our group wasn't present since they were on their way back from Burger King which is right beside Trapped...the people at Trapped didn't let the other half of the group pay that were already waiting and present. On a good note though, once everyone was present, the staff gave us a 10% discount for checking in on Facebook. So rather than the regular rate of $28, we paid $25 I believe? They also gave us membership cards to use in the future. They provide you with lockers to keep your valuables, but it's in the same corner as the benches so it gets very crowded at some points when people are waiting, coming in, and checking out. Now for the room itself. We did the Ancient Pyramid room. Although it was a good concept, AND we succeeded in escaping, there were a few downfalls. A few of the puzzles were extremely difficult, but you get 2 hints so we used our hints towards these puzzles...our first hint though wasn't very helpful and when we asked them to repeat it, another staff member took over and their hints were not the same...At the beginning when we were told not to worry about something, when asked over the walkie, they said we do have to worry about it, then another staff member said the opposite. Like what? So confusing...all answers should be the same and line up with one another or else it'll just make it harder for us to figure out how to escape. Also, when we asked for a hint, we told them how far we were and their hint was basically what we already knew, just didn't know how to figure out how to move forward from where we were. Lastly, we wasted 10 minutes looking for something that wasn't in the room, but staff let us make up for that time and gave us another 15 minutes extra. They also gave us another extra 2 minutes at the end since we were so close to escaping, which helped us succeed in the end. All in all, this place is okay. We actually want to go back since we have membership cards and try other rooms, especially the chaos effect room, but for beginners I warn you! This place only has a 4% success rate for all their rooms.
