Absolutely stunning. I'm not surprised that this place has been awarded a Four Diamond Rating for 25 consecutive years. It's at the top of the Pointe Hilton at Tapatillo Cliffs with an impressive view of the entire Phoenix skyline at night. There is truly no restaurant in the city with a better view. It's dark and romantic, also with a patio outside. The patio has several fireplaces and tiki torches, adding to the ambiance at night.
Service was amazing. The waiter knew every detail of the menu and offered great suggestions. He paced the meal incredibly well, and was attentive St not intrusive. This is the mark of an excellent waiter.
They start you with homemade focaccia and ciabatta bread, accompanied with maple butter, pepper pesto, and a goat cheese emulsion. Each of the three spreads were amazing. I could be happy with a few baskets of bread and call it a night.
For appetizers, the oysters were served with horseradish and bacon. Unlike a lot of heavy oyster dishes, it was light and refreshing. The other appetizer was a pork belly risotto with a poached egg and black truffles. Probably one of the best appetizers I've had in my life. And I order black truffles everywhere, so I can say that this was one of the best truffle dishes!
The entrees were lamb loin and duck risotto. One of the most tender pieces of duck I've seen. It could be cut with a fork. The lamb was cooked to a perfect medium rare.
Overall, excellent food and views.
