| - My mother, aunt, sister, and I came here for lunch Friday. The four of us say "4 Thumbs Down"! Absolutely the worst meal we have had dining out in a long time. My mother, sister, and I chose the Smörgåsbord because we were disappointed about the new lunch menu they currently are serving. Eeeeeew.... the hot food was NOT hot (except cabbage rolls). The food was barely lukewarm. The gravy in the gravy boats were cold. The salads were sat on a table and were not chilled with ice. My mother asked if they could warm her food up because the food was cold( Mind you the food was untouched on a clean plate. she was still at the serving bar). They told her no. So we all ate cold sausages, meatballs, and schnitzel. This is the best part.....are you ready....you pay for the Smörgåsbord by the pound, $9.50 a pound. This is a restaurant for goodness sake! Shouldn't it be a flat rate for all you can eat? This isn't Fry's olive bar or Albertson's salad bar where you expect to be charged by the pound. We were told that the pierogies on the Smörgåsbord were a variety of flavors. There was only one flavor up there, potato. And they too were cold. Also, on the lunch menu you can no longer chose your salads and side with your meal. They chose them for you. Once again, I was not offered a refill on my iced tea. It was empty before I finished my plate. For $2.75 a refill should be offered. I'm a flight attendant for a major airline for well over 25 years. I have traveled the world extensively during my career. There is nothing special about this place. The food is less than desirable. The staff needs to be more sensitive and responding to the customer when expressing discontent. And please remove that scary looking halloween type waiter at the front door. It's creepy!
