Purchased a new garage door and Lift Master opener from A Authentic in June. Took several weeks, many calls and canceled appointments before the door was painted. In August the door would not close at certain times in the morning when the sun was shining on the sensor. I was told to put a toilet paper tube over it to shade it. This may work but I paid this company to install the door and opener and expected a more permanent fix. Scheduled a tech to come out and he raised and switched the sensors which seems to have fixed the issue, but I had to pay him $65. He said he didn't charge me for labor. This is a very new unit, so disappointed that the company charged a service fee. I was told they can't predict the sun?! In another home a shade guard was placed over the sensor at the time of installation which seems like a good policy in Arizona where the sun shines year around.
