| - Our family went for the first time and we had a blast! We have never gone to the "old" Wet n Wild as I read about on the strip but we loved this place. It is definitely in the middle of no where, but I kinda liked it lol. It's right next to a recreation park where I think people park their cars instead of parking 45 steps over and paying for Wet n Wild....I'm just saying. We took advantage of the Friday night movie and the twilight tickets ($19.99 instead of $39.99; 4pm-close, 10pm) since there's five of us. On Fridays( I think) during the summer, they have a new movie each week in the Wave pool area where a screen comes up (it's pretty small but cool none the less) and you can see a movie while hanging out in the Wave pool. The movie they showed our Friday night was "Happy Feet 2". My kids are teens 15, 16, & 18 and we all had a blast even in the Kids area. There are different areas for different ages but we found all areas to be fun! We got on all the big slides we could handle and when we were done, we hung out in the lazy river. The lines weren't too long and although it had been 111 degrees all week, at this time it was in the low 100's, but the humidity felt high so when you came off of a ride, you were only cold for about 5 minutes then you were dry lol. Since hubby wasn't up to slippin and slidin, he hung out more in the lazy river as did one of my other teens. It really was something for everyone. They have the CUTEST section for 2 year olds! AND THEIR WATER IS WARM BY THE WAY! Much smaller pool and slide of course but sooooooo adorable! I would have definitely brought my kids here when they were younger! They have everything from Icees, sodas, pizza, funnel cakes, churros, pretzels, dippin dots ice cream, lemonade, there's quite a bit to eat. I didn't like the eating area only because there were millions of bees and I hate bees but I guess its to be expected. The staff was cool but very young; I asked and one guy was 16 years old. Most of them did pay attention but there were times of texting and not paying attention to kids trying to get on the ride even though they were not the right height. They would allow them to get on, not paying attention because they were in the middle of a text but when that kid came to get back on again, they'd tell them No because of their height and that did cause some issues with patrons and I understand why. All in all, a good time was had by all. They have Cabanas you can rent but there's also a large grassy area (no covering from the scorching sun though) when you can picnik. There's also small areas with chairs and umbrellas that are on a first come, first serve basis. They do check your bags when you come in so be prepared for that. The only thing I did not like was you have to pay for your tubes. I think that's cheesey given you've paid quite a bit to get in. Other water parks I've been to at least provide them with collateral like your ID or a deposit that goes back to you if all is fine with your tube.
Again, all in all, this place was great!
